I was out hiking last weekend when it happened, down in this place called Diablo Canyon. I had heard it was a really challenging trail, although in normal conditions it would not have been that big of a deal. However right at the end of the trek there was a real torrential downpour as I was descending a fairly steep slope. I was not able to find a good place to shelter, so I kept going down the mountain until I lost my footing. That was a pretty bad deal and I needed to find a Campbell chiropractor a few days later. At first I was sore, but the fall did not seem like that big of a deal. I kept going until I found a good place to wait out the storm. I finished the hike and I drove back to my place in Los Gatos without really thinking too much about it. I knew that I was sore and I figured it would get worse if I did not do something about it, so I put a heating pad on it before I went to bed.
That really did not solve the problem and when I woke up the next morning my back was really very stiff. I did what I needed to do to get it to loosen up and then I tried to go about my business, hoping that it would get better on it’s own. That did not happen and the next morning it was even worse than it had been. In fact there is nothing that a doctor can do about this, they can pretend to look at it and then give you a prescription for some pills, but you have to go see a chiropractor unless it is so bad that surgery makes sense.
